Accessing Teacher Login

1. What if I haven't used Teacher Login before?

If you haven’t used Teacher Login before, you need to complete the sign up process:

• Go to the Teacher Login tab on the TRBWA website homepage.
• Enter your email address. Note: it is recommended that you use a personal email address that will be accessible across any educational institution.
• Click to indicate if you have previously held registration in Western Australia.
• Follow the prompts to either recover your previous registration history or create a new profile by adding your personal details.
• An email invitation will be sent to your nominated email address.
• Click on the ‘Redeem invitation’ link. If you are using a shared computer, do not save your password to that computer.
• If a Microsoft ‘Create account’ box appears, you must first follow the prompts to create a new password, click ‘Next’ and then the ‘Review permissions’ box will appear. 
• When a ‘Review permissions’ box appears, click ‘Accept’.
• You will then be redirected to the Teacher Login welcome page to log in.

2.  What email address should I use when I create my Teacher Login account?

Use a personal email address that you can access across any educational institution.

3. What if I no longer have access to the email address I used to set up my Teacher Login account?

You will need to contact TRBWA by phone or email to change your email contact details.

4. How do I change my email address in Teacher Login?

To change your email address in Teacher Login you must have access to your existing email address.

• Access Teacher Login as usual.
• Click on ‘Contact details’ in the top tab menu.
• Click on the edit button to the right of the ‘Login/preferred email’ field.
• A ‘change email’ pop-up box will appear.
• Enter the new email address and click ‘Send verification code’.
• Check the new email inbox, junk and spam folders for a verification code from info@trb.education.wa.edu.au
• Copy and paste the verification code into the ‘Verification code’ field in Teacher Login and click ‘Verify code’.
• This will take you to the online services login page where you can enter your new email address, click ‘Next’ and access Teacher Login.

5. My password isn’t working

• First check that you are using the email address you previously registered with TRBWA.
• Try to log in to Teacher Login using the password associated with that email address.
• If you can’t remember your email that password, go to your email account and reset your email password. 
• Then return to Teacher Login and attempt to log in with your new password.
• If you still can’t log in, please take a screenshot of the error message if possible, and then please contact TRBWABA at info@trb.education.wa.edu.au or telephone (08) 9223 9100.

6. Why don’t I have to enter my Teacher Login password each time?

You may find that when you access Teacher Login on your computer, you are able to gain access by entering just your email address, and a password is not requested.  

 
This is due to the service provider (e.g. Microsoft) undertaking two checks:

• is the user logged in
• is the user authenticated

If these checks return the answer 'yes' to the service provider, it will recognise you as the correct user, and the password for Teacher Login will not be required.  
This “quick access” to Teacher Login only occurs for your own specific email address, which is associated with your computer log in and authentication.
