Provisional Registration

Provisional Registration is a category suitable for recent graduate teachers.

If you have, within the last 5 years, graduated with a teaching qualification from an accredited initial teacher education (ITE) program and meet fit and proper requirements, then you are eligible for the grant of Provisional Registration.

Students enrolled in accredited Australian initial teacher education (ITE) programs

Students enrolled in an accredited Australian ITE program can apply for Provisional Registration in their last semester of study.

The grant of registration will only be finalised after the TRBWA has received verification from the applicant's university that they have met all the requirements of their course and are eligible for graduation.

As part of the application process, the applicant is requested to authorise their university to release a copy of the final academic transcript to the TRBWA.

Should the applicant not provide this authorisation, they can present a certified copy to the TRBWA directly.

The grant of registration is subject to the applicant being a fit and proper person to be a teacher, the qualification requirement being met and the payment of the non-refundable application fee.
